Unite Zine is a fundraising zine comprised of poetry, prose, photography and visual art from Australian creatives. The zine began in 2023 as a way to raise money for Peter Mac’s yearly Walk to Fight Cancer challenge, and soon became an official fundraiser that raised over $3,000.
ISSUE 3!
In 2026, Issue 3 is coming! This time, raising funds for the Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF). Naturally, the theme is Land – as we’re supporting an organisation that works to protect Australia’s forests, rivers, people and wildlife.

LOOKING BACK…
ISSUE 1 FOREWORD:
I am grateful to be able to write, create & put together art that can be shared both in print & digital, & appreciate the efforts of those who have come before me to allow for this to happen. I am nothing without the incredible efforts of my contributors who fill the pages & those who have given me constant support throughout putting this together.
This zine is a culmination of work across months. So many emails, Instagram messages, phone calls, test prints at my work, uses of the word ‘snazzy’ & ‘funky’, indecision, procrastination, decision. This is the output of twenty-four people. Seeing it all come together in what many may view as just this teeny A5 booklet means everything to me.
This work, much like everything else I create, is produced on the lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. I acknowledge that sovereignty has never been ceded & this land always was & always will be Aboriginal land.
In 2025, the second issue was released – featuring more pieces from some insanely talented creatives. This issue is raising money for Eat Up, an Australian charity providing free lunches to school students.
ISSUE 2 FOREWORD:
Thank god it’s here.
We are so back with Issue 2. I feel so lucky to be doing this all again, & I’m infinitely thankful for the artists, writers, illustrators & readers who have made this possible. I’m so proud of the fundraising efforts of Issue1 & the massive support we’ve received from so many people.
Somehow, Unite Zine Issue 2, ‘Fight’, has been over a year in the making. Thank you Oli for doing everything to make this happen, even though it took literally everything out of you. I think you’ll find that we’ve gotten pretty decent at this whole zine thing, & that is thanks to the efforts of Oli, whose design is always worth the hype & maintains the ability to overcome my inability to articulate what I want & manages to always create something worthwhile.
I’m happy to say that this issue is not like the first – everything that was good in Issue 1 is great in Issue 2, I trust you’ll agree.
This collection of words, stories & images is produced on the lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. I acknowledge that sovereignty has never been ceded & this land always was & always will be Aboriginal land.
Thank you for flipping through.
